Though I was really looking forward to becoming a political activist in GoldenTowns, the politics feature didn't have anything close to what I was looking for as stated by GoldenTowns in the Politics page.
They have lowered the requirements of being able to be part of the government from 90% town happiness to being any town with level 10 or more.
Apart from all the sudden surge of stupid selfish laws being proposed, there seems to be nothing you can do besides proposing a new law for now. I really do hope the dev team working on GoldenTowns would revise the level 10 or more rule to something much stricter as there seems to be rather too many selfish governors out there for my country in-game. . .
